Radio Popolare has started a show in which they ask “established” artists to recommend up-and-coming ones. When they asked me for one such recommendation, I was in trouble, because there are many young artists I like: for example Gianluca Lo Presti, who made a wonderful record earlier this year. I chose Davide Zilli because he will soon perform in Milano (December 5th at Arci Biko) and I thought if someone hears his music on he radio and likes it has a chance to make the show. So I recommended Davide, and Radiopop aired my recommendation and his Jazzabbestia, which is totally untranslatable into English but great fun. I’m going to the show, anyway.

La radio tedesca (di Colonia) Funkhaus Europa WDR 103,3 ha mandato in onda un servizio sui Fiamma Fumana (con intervista a Lady Jessica). Niente di strano se non che… il servizio è in lingua italiana e la trasmissione si chiama “Al dente”! Tra l’altro il servizio è fatto molto bene: complimenti a Cristiano e Luigi di Funkhaus-WDR.

Una bella recensione, molto meditata e argomentata, del sito americano The Armchair Critic su Onda. Pare che “ci stiamo avvicinando” alla miscela ideale di folk e elettronica… speriamo!

A nice, thoughtful review of Onda from the American website The Armchair Critic. Apparently “we have come closer” to the “right amount of musicality to balance the electronics”… let’s hope so!
