Una segnalazione di Medhin: la redazione di mtv.it ha finalmente caricato ben 30 secondi del video di Prendi sul sito, in modo che chi lo vota (a proposito, c’è ancora qualcuno che lo fa…) lo possa anche vedere. Meglio tardi che mai… 
Partita da una proposta di Lisa, l’idea di fare di “Non di sola andata” il secondo singolo di ONDA ha convinto tutti. Peccato per “Immagina”, che era il candidato precedente, ma alla fine siamo più contenti così. Lady Jessica e Peter stanno ragionando su un’eventuale versione radio… vedremo.
… nel frattempo ci dicono dalla Mescal che siamo entrati in due compilations stranissime: Striscia la compilation, (della Universal), e HitMania Estate 2006 della Universo, dove peraltro hanno scritto “Fiamma Fiumana” sulla copertina. Mah, è proprio vero che la musica ha un modo tutto suo di infilarsi nei posti più strani… Da una parte: ma cosa ci facciamo qui? Dall’altra: ma in fondo, chi se ne frega? E soprattutto: vi prego, fatemi vedere il supercult delle veline che ballano “Prendi l’onda…”
Alla fine è andata così: la campagna “vota il video” è andata benissimo, siamo stati tra i i 10 video più votati sul sito per una settimana abbondante, arrivando fino al secondo posto (il 12 luglio). Nonostante questo, la redazione di TRL – MTV ha deciso che il video non sarà messo in onda. (Vi potrete chiedere: perché inserire il video tra i votabili se poi votarlo non produce niente? Ce lo siamo chiesto anche noi…) In compenso, i responsabili del sito mtv.it ci hanno proposto di dedicare uno speciale ai FF, che sarà online a partire dal 28. Prestissimo vi daremo maggiori dettagli. Intanto la campagna è ufficialmente chiusa: non c’è più bisogno che ci votiate (sebbene possiate farlo benissimo e la cosa ci faccia piacere, ho appena controllato e il video è ancora votabile). In the end it went like this: the “vote the video” campaign went very well, we were among the 10 most voted videos for more than one week, and we even reached number two (on July 12th). Despite this, the staff of TRL -MTV decided not to broadcast our video. (you may ask yourself: why put it up for a vote and then not broadcast it even if it gets loads of votes? We asked ourselves the same question) However, they did propose us a special on their webstie, which will be online starting July 28th. Soon we’ll give you more details: meanwhile, the voting campaign is officially closed: you do not need to vote for us anymore (though you are very welcome to do it anyway to show your support, I just checked and the video’s still there). Thanks to everyone who voted for us, you’ve been great!

Ci hanno confermato che mtv.it dedicherà ai FF uno speciale che sarà online a partire dal 28 luglio. Stiamo ragionando sui pezzi da inserire: la mia scaletta preferita è:

La campagna di votazione a favore del nostro video (nell’ultima settimana siamo stati più o meno sempre tra i 10 video più votati) ha ottenuto un primo risultato importante, e cioè che i responsabili del sito di MTV ci hanno proposto di dedicare uno speciale ai FF, con almeno tre pezzi oltre al video di Prendi l’onda. Metteremo almeno un brano tradizionale, forse due: stiamo pensando a “Angiolina” con il coro delle mondine di Novi. Così avremo, finalmente, le mondine su MTV!
Per il video in rotazione, invece, ancora niente

The campaign in favour of our video on MTV’s website (in the latest week we’ve more or less been always among the 10 most voted video) brought home a first, important, result: the site’s editor proposed us to do a special about FF, with at least 3 songs besided the Prendi l’onda video. We decided to use at least one traditional, song, maybe two: we are thinking about “Angiolina” featuring the choir of the Mondine (rice weeders) of Novi. So we did, in a sense, bring Mondine on MTV!
As for the video playlist, we have not got in there so far.
Pare che molta gente non riesca a vedere il video al link che abbiamo diffuso nei giorni scorsi (anche se con il mio mac si vede benssimo). Di vederlo sul sito di MTV neanche a parlarne. OK, adesso l’abbiamo caricato su youtube!

Vote for Fiamma Fumana! They’re internationally acclaimed for their wildly innovative treatment of Northern Italy’s folk traditions. Ironically, in order to convince MTV Italia’s programmers that their video single from the brand new album, Onda is worthy of airplay in their own country, they need voting support from fans and viewers. Not that they’re doing too bad. At last count on the program, Total Request Live, they were fending off competition from Robbie Williams, Pussycat Dolls and Mary J. Blige. But seriously, why does great music have to be subjected to petty competition?You know world.beats will be all over the new single when it arrives. In the meantime, go to http://www.mtv.it/tv/programmi/trl/vota.asp and vote daily for Fiamma Fumana. They already love Vancouver. Show them the feeling is mutual!
