Heading for the Eternal City

Yes, my friends, tomorrow we have no less than the Rome show. Though promotionally maybe not the most important gig in your typical Italian tour, it is one of the most pleasant - especially in the spring. I’ll spend an extra day in the Eternal City to attend a couple of meetings, then we have more shows in Reggio, Roncade and Verona, so I’ll be out for what remains of this week.

Going to Rome is always a pleasure. Tomorrow it will be more of a pleasure than usual, because we have a brand new President (who pronounced his oath just yesterday) and a new Prime Minister. Although not yet voted in by the new parliament, the latter was officially asked by the President to form the new government just today.

The new Prime Minister does not own any TV network, newspaper or major-league football team. I suppose one must be thankful for these little blessings, that should add to the pleasure of the sunshine in the Eternal City.
